The Yorkshire Dales – so pretty and so accessible!

I am just back from a wedding in the very breath-taking landscape of the Yorkshire Dales. Hubby and I knew not what to expect, we flew into Leeds-Bradford airport and rented a car to drive to our BnB in nearby Grassington. The bride and groom gave us a really comprehensive list of accommodation and directions so we had made our bookings well in advance. The weather was spectacular and on the drive down the scenery was so pretty we knew we were in for a treat. I just knew that I would be writing a blog about my weekend passed as it was the perfect get away for just about anyone. The dales offer really great walks for all levels of walkers, the local village offers great food and drink and above all it is so pretty!

I instantly fell in love with Grassington on arrival, the cobble stone streets, the Georgian architecture, the pretty uniform cottages and the amazing English country gardens! When I saw our BnB I knew we would be back – Tucked Away House  was just as the name suggests – tucked away. A one minute walk from the square and Hilary and Paul are such great hosts that you cannot help feel right at home. Their very friendly black lab and liver dalmatian give you the wag of welcome too – they are also a pet friendly accommodation.

The national park is only a walk away and the country side is spectacular. If you could do with a break and want something with a bit of everything then grab your walking boots and book your flight to take in the splendor of the Yorkshire Dales.

You can contact Hilary by phone – UK 01756 753332 or 07738 836777 and tell her Claire Lewis sent you!
